What these tools do and who needs them

If you need to dig into one topic, the free count is gone in half an hour.

Surfer SEO has no free tier, starts at US$999 a month and offers only a 7-day refund guarantee. Ask yourself whether you really need a professional-grade platform.
3. Free tiers may cap sources. A research tool is only as good as its sources, and free plans may limit files, sources or notebooks (Gemini Notebook’s page notes caps on source and notebook counts). Before a formal report, open the sources yourself; it is the same habit AMPM uses when checking prices.
How to choose: three plain rules
- Are you finding answers or organising your own material? Finding: pick cited AI search. Organising: pick a notebook that accepts uploads.
- Count your daily pro-level questions. Free allowances are single digits; beyond that, look at the cheapest monthly plan (from US$4.99 here).
- For professional platforms, confirm the use case before the price. The cheapest and most expensive monthly plans here differ by 200 times (US$4.99 versus US$999); the difference is whether the buyer is a person or a company.
