Amo and Pimi: is this deal actually a good one?
The 20% is a standing annual-billing discount, not a limited-time price cut — available any time, no urgency. This site previously mislabeled it as a price cut; it has been corrected.
This review was checked on 2026-09-08 (Today) Prices and quotas are subject to the official latest announcement.
⚠️ The number most people get wrong
Suno’s pricing page defaults to the yearly tab, so the first prices you see are US$8 / US$24. Many sources (including this site before 2026-08-09) treated those as “discounted monthly prices.” That is not what they are.
What the site actually says (read 2026-08-09 from the pricing JSON embedded in suno.com/pricing):
- The embedded JSON states
monthly_price_usd: 10(Pro) andmonthly_price_usd: 30(Premier) - Annual totals are
year USD 96(Pro) andyear USD 288(Premier) - The page itself notes “Saves US$24 by billing yearly” and “Saves US$72 by billing yearly”
So Suno has not cut its prices. US$8 / US$24 are annual totals divided by 12.
Full plan pricing (verified 2026-08-09)
| Plan | Monthly list price | Annual total | Annual per month | Credits | Commercial use |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| Free | US$0 | — | — | 50 per day | ❌ Not allowed |
| Pro | US$10/mo | US$96/yr | US$8/mo | 2,500/mo | ✅ Allowed |
| Premier | US$30/mo | US$288/yr | US$24/mo | 10,000/mo | ✅ Allowed |
Annual billing works out to 20% off (Pro saves US$24/yr, Premier US$72/yr). This is an ongoing discount; the site lists no end date.
The free tier: 50 credits a day, with one catch most people miss
The free plan resets 50 credits daily, uses the v4.5-all model, allows 4 concurrent generations in a shared queue, and accepts audio uploads up to 8 minutes.
But Suno’s help centre states plainly:
If you make music with the Basic (free) plan, Suno is the owner of the songs. You are allowed to use the songs for non-commercial purposes.
In other words, a track you love from the free plan cannot be monetised or distributed commercially. That requires a paid plan.
Three further free-tier limits:
- Standard features only — no stem separation
- No add-on credit purchases — once the daily 50 are gone, you wait for tomorrow
- The page footer states credits “do not carry over from day to day or month to month” — unused credits reset to zero the next day
Is it worth it? Comparison using real monthly list prices
| Tool | Entry paid plan | Monthly list price | Annual per month | Commercial use |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Suno Pro | 2,500 credits/mo | US$10 | US$8 | ✅ |
| Udio | — | US$10 | Not published | Check terms |
| ElevenLabs Starter | 30k credits (voice, not songs) | US$5 | — | ✅ |
On monthly list price, Suno Pro and Udio are both US$10 — neither is cheaper. That differs from the conclusion you would reach comparing the annual per-month figure (US$8) against Udio’s monthly price, which is why both sides of a comparison need to use the same billing basis.
The real difference is purpose: ElevenLabs does voice cloning and narration, not song generation — cheaper, but not interchangeable. Suno and Udio are the actual head-to-head pair.
Suggested order of decisions:
- Test styles on the free tier’s 50 daily credits — but remember output cannot be used commercially
- Once you know you routinely need commercial rights, move to Pro
- Only go to Premier if your song volume is high, or you need Suno Studio’s advanced editing and stem separation
Prices in other currencies
The JSON embedded in the pricing page also lists non-USD prices that are not simple exchange-rate conversions:
Monthly EUR 9 / GBP 8 / JPY 1,500 / KRW 15,000 / AUD 15 / CAD 14. Tax is calculated at checkout.
