How Amo and Pimi look
Let's start with something shocking — standalone Copilot Pro has been discontinued! Existing subscribers only have until 2026/8/1, after which they'll be force-migrated to Microsoft 365 Premium at US$19.99/month. The free tier isn't spared either — starting 2026/4/15, the built-in Copilot Chat usage in Word, Excel, and PowerPoint has been reduced, and the official site doesn't even say by how much. So when you say it's "free" —
(cutting in) It's true it's bundled into the M365 subscription, but don't scare people — Personal at US$9.99/month already includes basic Copilot, no need to pay an extra US$19.99! For anyone already using Windows and Office, this is seamless integration — that's the whole reason and the biggest one. If you really need the advanced features, Premium billed annually works out to about US$16.67/month at US$199.99/year, including the Researcher/Analyst agents and AI image generation, plus up to 6TB of storage — and the official site is even running a free first-month trial promo. Chinese support is full — no issues using it in Chinese at all.
So, do you need to pay or not?
For people already in the M365 ecosystem, the Personal plan's included US$9.99 version is enough — no need to upgrade. For advanced AI features, Premium billed annually at US$199.99/year is the best value. But standalone Copilot Pro has been discontinued — don't go looking for the old plan.
