How Amo and Pimi look
Pimi, don't praise it yet — I frowned the whole time reading the official site. The free plan is only a one-time 120 credits; once you use them building, it just pauses — there's no recurring quota at all. Isn't that a trial, not "free"?
But look at what it actually does! It was the #1 Product Hunt launch — it generates native macOS apps from natural-language prompts, local-first and not JS-constrained — that's rare in the desktop-dev world!
So, do you need to pay or not?
Mac + Apple Silicon users who want to create native desktop applications can start with a free 120-credit trial plus 14-day verification, and then decide on Pro for US$20. However, non-Mac users currently cannot use it, and the credit cost is also unclear, so it's best to estimate usage on the official website before subscribing.
