How Amo and Pimi look
The easiest trap to fall into with the free version is this — files are only kept for 3 days, on a rolling basis, and get auto-deleted once expired. If you upload something and come back the following weekend, it might already be gone. And the free version can't edit or publish directly to social media — you can basically only see what it cut for you.
3 days is short, but don't dismiss it and run off – let me mention two things it's more generous with than similar tools: the free version allows commercial use, and there's no watermark! Among short-video tools, a free tier that's both commercial-use-allowed and watermark-free isn't common. Paid tier starts at Starter US$15, quite a bit lower than comparable Descript Hobbyist at US$24.
So, do you need to pay or not?
Just want to see what an AI edit looks like: the free plan is enough, but remember to grab your files within 3 days. If you actually want to go from editing to publishing: the free plan can't edit or publish, meaning you'll definitely have to upgrade.
