How Amo and Pimi look
Chinese support is none, docs and interface all in English – that's a point off right away. Pro went from US$9 to US$29/seat, an increase of over 220%; existing users basically got hit with a price hike. Pimi, how are you going to spin that? Enterprise custom quotes aren't transparent, and the early-stage-startup 50%-off-for-6-months promo has no listed end date – it could disappear anytime. The official site doesn't even clearly explain the feature differences between the cloud and open-source versions, leaving everyone confused.
The price hike really is outrageous, Amo, I can't defend that one — but it's open-source under Apache-2.0, fully self-hostable for free, and you can bring your own LLM API key, so that whole route isn't even affected by the price hike! Over 39.4K GitHub stars and growing by 10.3K+ a week — the community is extremely active, and it even supports GitHub Actions CI/CD integration. If you want to go cloud, Pro is US$29/seat with a 7-day free trial, and Enterprise covers VPC/on-premises, BYOK, SSO and SCIM — everything you'd need is there.
So, do you need to pay or not?
Security team needing pen-testing: the open-source version is free to self-host, using your own LLM key. Need cloud hosting and support: Pro at US$29/seat, with a 7-day trial. But the price increases are real – factor that into long-term budgeting.
