Fliki turns written text — a script, an article, even a blog post link — into a finished video with an AI voiceover attached. It also does AI voice cloning and lets you build videos around AI avatars (virtual on-screen presenters) instead of recording yourself. The free tier is real, and you don’t need a credit card to try it. But it’s small: Fliki’s official pricing page lists 3 credits a month on the free tier, which the company says is worth about 5 minutes of finished audio or video. If you’re hoping to use that free tier for a weekly video or a steady run of voiceover work, think of it as a test drive, not a toolkit. Here’s what the free tier actually includes, how to get your first video out of it, and where beginners tend to get stuck.

What the free tier actually gets you

A “credit” is Fliki’s unit for how much content you can generate — writing a voiceover and rendering the video both draw from the same monthly pool, not separate ones. On the free tier, that pool is 3 credits a month, reset monthly, good for roughly 5 minutes of audio or video content total.

Beyond that cap, here’s what’s included and what isn’t:

  • Voices: around 300 AI voices across 80+ languages, including Chinese. The full paid library runs much larger (1,000 to 2,000+ voices depending on plan).
  • Resolution: exports come out at 720p. Paid plans bump this to 1080p.
  • Watermark: every free export carries a visible Fliki watermark. Only paid plans remove it.
  • Commercial use: not included on the free tier. You can make something, but you don’t have the rights to monetize or publish it commercially — that starts at the Standard plan.
  • Stock media: Fliki’s library of 6 million-plus images, clips, and other visual assets is available to pull from while building your video.
  • Sign-up: no credit card required to create a free account.

Making your first video, step by step

  1. Create a free account — no payment details needed.
  2. Paste in a script, or paste a blog post URL and let Fliki pull the text automatically.
  3. Pick an AI voice from the free-tier library (300 voices, 80+ languages, Chinese included).
  4. Let Fliki auto-match visuals from its stock library, or swap in your own images and clips.
  5. Preview the result, then export. It comes out at 720p with the Fliki watermark baked in.

Because the free tier only resets to 3 credits a month, the realistic use case is one short piece — not a running series. Treat your first export as a chance to judge the voice quality and workflow, not as your actual content pipeline.

Where beginners get stuck

The most common surprise is how fast the free credits disappear. Since credits cover both the voiceover generation and the video rendering together, a single narrated video can burn through the entire monthly allowance in one go — there’s no separate “audio-only” budget to fall back on.

The second blocker is rights and polish: the watermark and the lack of commercial licensing mean the free tier isn’t usable for a monetized YouTube channel, client work, or ads. That requires at least the Standard plan.

Third, the price you see on Fliki’s site can shift by region or active promotion, since the pricing page renders dynamically rather than showing one fixed number to everyone.

If you outgrow the free tier, Fliki’s paid plans scale up like this:

  • Standard — US$28/month, or US$180/year billed annually (Fliki states this saves 25% versus paying monthly). You get 180 credits a month (2,160 a year), videos up to 15 minutes long, about 1,000 voices including 500 marked “ultra-realistic,” 1080p exports with no watermark, commercial usage rights, the same 6-million-plus stock library, and 80+ languages.
  • Premium — US$88/month, or US$360/year billed annually. You get 600 credits a month (7,200 a year), videos up to 40 minutes long, the full 2,000+ voice library (over 1,000 of them ultra-realistic and multilingual), every AI avatar Fliki offers, voice cloning for up to 3 custom voices, API access (a way for developers to connect their own software directly to Fliki instead of using the website), and priority support.
  • Enterprise — custom pricing, quoted directly by Fliki for larger needs.

We found a real discrepancy worth flagging. Fliki’s own pricing page, read directly on 2026-08-28, states the free tier is 3 credits a month (about 5 minutes of content). A secondary industry source (aituber.app, updated 2026-08-08) lists a different number entirely — 36 credits a month, with a separate 1-minute-per-video cap. These two numbers don’t reconcile. We’re reporting the 3-credits-a-month figure because it comes straight from Fliki’s own live pricing page rather than a third party, but if you see the free tier described differently elsewhere — including older write-ups — that conflicting 36-credit figure is likely why.

We also confirmed that Fliki’s pricing page renders the Standard and Premium monthly prices dynamically, meaning we couldn’t read a single static number directly off the page ourselves — the US$28 and US$88 monthly figures above come from a third-party cross-check (aituber.app, updated 2026-08-08). The annual prices, US$180/year for Standard and US$360/year for Premium, did come directly from Fliki’s own page, listed there as locked-in annual rates with the stated 25% savings.

One more thing the pricing page doesn’t spell out clearly: credits are a single shared pool for both audio and video generation, not two separate budgets. That’s the detail most likely to catch new users off guard, especially on the free tier where the pool is already just 3 credits.

Verdict: who should use it, who should skip it

Use the free tier if you want to hear what Fliki’s AI voices sound like, test the text-to-video workflow once, or make a single short clip you don’t need to monetize. It costs nothing and doesn’t require a credit card, so there’s no real downside to a one-time trial.

Skip it, or budget for Standard right away, if you need a regular publishing schedule — 3 credits a month resets to almost nothing between videos — or if you need commercial rights or watermark-free exports from day one. Standard (US$28/month or US$180/year) covers those basics along with 1080p and 15-minute videos. If you need voice cloning, AI avatars, or API access for a team or agency workflow, that’s Premium (US$88/month or US$360/year) territory, not something the free tier or Standard plan reaches.
