Framer Pricing 2026: US$10 Is the Entry Fee — Overages Are Where the Bill Actually Grows
Article last updated:2026-09-07
Framer is a design tool that also hosts and publishes the site, and recent versions fold AI agents into the same product. The pricing page advertises US$10 and US$30 — but what you actually pay each month is decided by the overage table underneath.
All figures below were read directly from framer.com/pricing on 2026-09-07.
1. The three tiers at a glance
| Plan | Price | AI credits | Domain | Bandwidth |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Free | US$0 | 500 credits to try | Free Framer subdomain | 1 GB |
| Basic | US$10/month | From 1,000/month | Free custom domain | 50 GB |
| Pro | US$30/month | From 3,000/month | Free custom domain | 100 GB |
| Enterprise | Custom | Volume discounts | Custom | Custom |
Framer describes the free tier as “500 AI credits to try,” “Free Framer domain,” “1 GB bandwidth” and “Design pages” — you can design and publish on a Framer address, but connecting your own domain requires a paid plan.
Both paid tiers step up on credits: Basic runs 1,000 / 2,000 / 3,000 / 5,000 / 8,000 / 10,000 / 15,000 per month, and Pro runs 3,000 / 5,000 / 10,000 / 20,000 / 30,000 / 50,000 / 100,000. So the same plan name covers a range of monthly bills depending on the credit tier you select.
2. Where the money really goes
| Item | Basic | Pro | Beyond the limit |
|---|---|---|---|
| Site pages | 30 | 150 | US$20 per 100 pages (700 max) |
| CMS collections | 2 | 10 | US$40 per 10 (40 max) |
| CMS items | 1,000 | 2,500 | US$20 per 10,000 (40,000 max) |
| Bandwidth | 50 GB | 100 GB | US$40 per 100 GB (2 TB max) |
| Analytics history | 30 days | 90 days | Unlimited on Enterprise |
| Additional editors | US$20/editor/month | US$20/editor/month | Viewers are free |
| Content editors | From US$10/person | From US$10/person | CMS and on-page editing only |
Framer explicitly notes bandwidth comes with “overage alerts,” which tells you this is a billed dimension, not a soft cap.
Practical readings:
- Content sites and blogs: CMS items are your cost line. Pro’s 2,500 looks generous until you realise a daily-publishing site fills it in about four years — after which US$20 per 10,000 is honestly cheap.
- Marketing sites with traffic: bandwidth is your cost line. 100 GB is not roomy for an image- and video-heavy site, and US$40 per 100 GB adds up faster than people expect.
- Teams: the real number is US$20 per additional editor per month. Three designers editing together costs US$60 on top of the plan itself. Note that viewers are free — do not buy editor seats for people who only need to look and comment.
3. Pro buys more than bigger numbers
Beyond allowances, Pro unlocks site redirects, a staging environment, branching with previews, password protection, site search, 300+ CDN locations (versus 20 on Basic) and 90-day analytics.
Site redirects deserve a callout: if you are migrating an existing site, redirects are not optional. Without them every old URL 404s and your search rankings go with it. Anyone replatforming needs Pro, regardless of page count.
4. About those AI credits
Framer runs agents and AI features off one credit balance: from 1,000/month on Basic, from 3,000/month on Pro, with the option to add credits at any time. The page also notes that Framer Pro Experts save 50% on agent credits, and that external agents (connecting your own tools) are free during preview.
Keep that last one in mind: free-during-preview becomes billed-after-preview, and that is the single most common source of surprise cost with new AI features.
