Hostinger’s AI website builder advertises “under US$3 a month”. That number is genuinely printed on the site — and so are three lines of small print beside it, which is where your actual spend lives.

We read the official page on 2026-09-07 and pulled all four numbers for each plan: list price, promo price, committed total, and renewal.

1. Full pricing

All plans list a 30-day money-back guarantee, cancel anytime, and 24/7 support.

The last column is the one that matters. Take Premium:

• First four years: US$143.52, paid up front.
• Year five onward: US$10.99 × 12 = US$131.88 per year.

Your fifth year alone costs almost as much as the first four combined. That is standard hosting-industry structure rather than anything unique to Hostinger — but it is worth doing the arithmetic before you commit.

3. The credit gap is wider than the price gap

The easily missed comparison:

• AI agent credits: not listed → 500 → 1,000

Premium ships 5 AI credits. If your reason for buying is “have AI build me a site”, five generations leaves almost no room to iterate — one layout change, one style swap, one regeneration each burns a credit. Moving to Unlimited costs US$1 more per month for 3× the credits plus 500 agent credits.

1. The free mailboxes and domain are free for one year. Both are billed separately from year two, and domain renewal depends on the TLD — a different line item from hosting renewal.
2. The term is 48 months, not 12. The headline price is built on a four-year commitment; shorter terms carry higher per-month rates (the page presents 48 months as the default).
3. The 30-day guarantee covers hosting. Registered domains usually follow separate rules — confirm before cancelling.

5. Who this fits

Fits: a site you are confident will run four or more years — a company site, a long-running blog or portfolio — where AI is an accelerator rather than the product.

Doesn’t fit: short-lived campaign pages and experiments, where a four-year commitment defeats the discount; or anyone whose main goal is AI site generation, since the credit allowance that actually supports that no longer costs US$2.99.
