The usual first encounter with Murf AI: sign up free, pick a voice, paste your script, like the result — then find the download button does nothing.

That is by design. The official pricing page lists Free as Everything in Business Plan (No Downloads) and No Commercial Rights. Free lets you audition; it does not let you collect.

Spending those 10 minutes well

Audition with short lines. Three to five candidate voices, one 10–15 second sentence each.
Then test the hard parts — proper nouns, numbers, mixed-language sentences. That is where TTS actually breaks.
Generate the full script last.
